Established
in 2002, Mongolia International University (MIU) is a great community of
learning, committed to diversity in its student body, faculty, and staff. At
MIU, students are challenged to develop their scholarly talents and are highly
encouraged to discover their personal strengths thorough the various methods of
interaction with scholars, researchers, and staff. Within a decade, MIU has
distinguished itself as a prominent international University providing
English-speaking higher education in Central Asia. It is now a multi-cultural
campus of over six hundred students from seven different countries in the
world.
MIU offers six major undergraduate programs
in the areas of International Business Management, Informational Technology,
Biotechnology and Food Science, English Education, Energy Resource Management
and Environment Technology, Fashion Design and two graduate programs in
Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Truman Graduate
School of Public Administration. Moreover, MIU’s diverse language institutes
provide a unique blend of culture, learning, and experience. The Language
Education Institute, Mongolian Language and Culture Center, and PaiChai Korean
Language School help students further prepare for a competitive edge in
English, Mongolian, and Korean.
MIU provides priceless opportunities for
students to engage in and expand their social experience and knowledge. The
Vision Trips help students gain a broader perspective on hands-on experiences
in education and culture in the United States, Korea, and China. The Exchange
Student Programs allow students to study and experience foreign countries and
receive credits during the program. The Mission Trip give students a great chance
to serve and contribute what they have learned to the under privileged in
different regions and countries.
Furthermore, MIU strives to be a leading
research-oriented university in Central Asia. It seeks to achieve the highest
level of knowledge and understanding through continuous research development in
the areas of applied technology, resource and energy, environment conservation
and food science. Through rigorous academic programs and social activities,
Mongolia International University continues to prepare students for leadership
